Egyptian Offering to OsirisEgyptian Offering to OsirisInvocation to Bast
A circle of candles light the room,
all attune to the midnight moon.
The incense embers fast,
so that I may cast;
my spell to Bast.

Adorned with the Star,
Hanging upon her breast.
Her peer on me did rest.

Around me, a ring of celestial dust cloud.
Baneful energy unable to cross my circles bound.
My protector now found.

Invocation of Isis
Great Holy Isis, Mother of all the gods,
I call to Thee.
Thy name is sweet upon my lips.
Lady of the Green Wings
And of the Crescent Moon.
Mistress of the Sea.
Queen of the Earth.
I call to Thee.
Thy beauty engulfs my soul.
Mistress of the Elements
And of All Things Forever.
Eye of Ra.
Embracer of the Land.
Come to me, Isis.
Join me in Your Holy Temple
And empower this rite.

Another Invocation of Isis
Isis of the Moon,
You who are all that ever was,
All that is,
And all that shall be:
Come, veiled Queen of Night!
Come as the scent of the sacred lotus
Charging my circle
With love and magic.
Do descend upon my circle,
I pray,
O Blessed Isis!

Roman Prayer to Bast
To Gentle Goddess Bast
Thank you for sending healing power
My patron Goddess Bast
I honor you this day
Ancient Egyptian Goddess
My feline friend is now purring
Gracious Bast you have touched my life today
I honor you and give my many thanks to you.
I will visit my stray cat friends today in your honor
I will leave them food and water and stroke them with care

Egyptian Love Spell
Isis, Goddess of Love, Holy Spouse,
You who cause lovers to embrace one another
I ask you in your vast power
To look over the lands under your holy sight
And make known to me
The one who welcomes my love
Goddess gaze into my soul and heart
Let me know what will truly bring me joy
Let me desire whoever will bring me my truest fulfilment
Let me embrace the one who will find greatest joy in my love
And return to me the same
Great Isis, Hear my prayer

Isis Healing Spell
You will need - white fabric, white tulips, white candle, one white feather, gardenia incense, silver stars (confetti or cut-outs)

The Egyptian goddess Isis can be called upon in the early spring to enhance your physical and emotional well being.
Cover your altar with white fabric.
Decorate it with a vase of white tulips, a white candle, and one white feather, and burn some gardenia incense.
Here and there, sprinkle small decorative silver stars.
Light the candle. Using the feather, fan the incense about you.
Now speak these words:

Isis, Great Mother,
hear my words of power.
Let the season of light bring me wellness and protection.

End the ritual by brushing your body lightly from head to toe with the feather.
If you have a specific problem, mention it as you say your words of power.

Make Egyptian incense.

Basic Egyptian Incense
To make the basic incense used that was used in daily Egyptian rituals, you will need four parts frankincense, three parts gum Arabic, two parts myrrh, one part cedar, one part juniper, one part calamus and one part cinnamon. Pulverize them, and mold that into cones. This standard incense was burned for Egyptian rituals in devotions for nearly all Egyptian deities.

Make Kyphi incense.
You will need three parts frankincense, two parts benzoin, two parts myrrh, one part juniper berries, one-half part galangal, one-half part cinnamon, one-half part cedar, two drops lotus oil blend, two drops of wine, two drops of honey and a few raisins. Grind and mix the dry ingredients. Store them in an airtight container for two weeks. Mix the oil, wine, honey and raisins in a separate bowl. Mix the wet mixture and the dry. Blend with your hands. Store in the airtight container for two more weeks. The resulting substance can then be formed into incense cones.

Make Isis incense.
This incense is devoted to the Egyptian goddess of magic and fertility. Gather three parts myrrh, two parts sandalwood, one part frankincense, one part rose petals and a few drops of lotus oil blend. Drop the oil onto the resins. Then pulverize and mix them with the other ingredients. Allow the mixture to rest briefly before forming into cones.

Make Winter incense.
Combine two parts frankincense, one part pine needles (crushed), one part ground cinnamon, one part ground nutmeg, one part cedar (crushed chips), one part juniper berries (well dried) and one part ground clove. Pulverize and mold into cones.

Make Summer incense.
Combine one part chamomile, one part rose petals (crushed), two parts sandalwood, one part benzoin, one part lemon balm and two drops of orange oil. Drop the oil onto the resins. Then pulverize and mix thatwith the other ingredients. Allow the mixture to rest briefly before forming into cones.

Kyphi Incense  (Kyphi Tsa)
This recipe was reconstructed from ancient Egyptian papyrus. Although an ingredient or two may not have translated correctly, this should be pretty close to the actual incense used in Egyptian temples.
(This recipe is provided courtesy of the Fellowship of Isis)

Amount (In Parts) Ingredient
3/4 Honey
3 Raisins
1/4 Copal
1/4 Myrrh
1/4 Orris Root
1 Sandalwood
1/4 Storax
1/2 Frankincense
1/2 Cinnamon
Red Wine (enough to moisten mixture)
Benzoin

Thoroughly grind all ingredients separately, then mix together groups of ingredients by nature: resinous together, powdery together, etc. Finally, mix all batches together, add red wine to moisten, then roll into 5/8" balls and roll balls in benzoin. Lay out on waxed paper for a week or so, until firm.

I age it for at least a month, rather than the week recommended in this recipe. Additionally, you can make the balls smaller than the recommended 5/8". The recommended size of 5/8" will burn for a very, very, long time, which isn't always necessary for me. Other than that, I burn it on bamboo charcoal instead of self-lighting charcoal. The self-lighting charcoal contains saltpeter, which alters the final scent negatively, but also burns way too quickly.
